Members of the University's Host Community, Ugbomro gathered at the University Gate to protest. They demand for jobs for the eligible youths. They also demanded for good roads. They complained that admission is not given to the host community's youths.

Kemi Augustine (Jr.), a native of the community claims he has sent his admission applications to FUPRE several times without success. He says He is also an OND holder from Delta School of Marine, Burutu. He lamented about his joblessness so far.
Members from neighboring Iterigbi Community was also there to lay same complaints.
They blocked the entrance into the campus, denied all staff and students access through the main gate.
They threatened to shut down the school road and continue thier "struggle" till further notice.

The ongoing disturbance has halted the progress of the second semester examination.
